PGT Ceewrite to Attend DSEi 201507/07/2015
PGT Ceewrite is exhibiting its unique precision manufacturing capabilities and engineering services for the first time at Subcon 2015, 2-4 June at the NEC, Birmingham. On the PGT Ceewrite stand (S29), recent £15 million pound investments in new facilities for manufacturing complex, highest tolerance metal parts and assemblies will be showcased. This includes: new NADCAP approved EDM spark and wire erosion GF AgieCharmilles production machines with 24 hour ‘lights out’ capabilities; additional CNC machining capacity including new GF five axis simultaneous multi pallet milling centers; plus new ‘state of the art’ grinding and super finishing facilities able to offer parts down to as low as 0.5 microns tolerance. PGT Ceewrite now has the largest Studer grinding facility for both cylindrical and surface grinding currently operational in the UK.
PGT Ceewrite is a world-class UK engineering business, which specializes in manufacturing CNC precision machined small to medium sized extremely complex metal parts for leading OEMs and supply chain companies in the Defence, Aerospace, Motorsport, and Industrial markets. PGT Ceewrite has three southern UK centres of excellence located in Mitcham, Worcester and Portland. The business is fully equipped to produce custom manufactured precision components and assemblies to order from all types of metals, including titanium, Inconel and super alloys, machined from solid bar stock, forgings or castings. Additional manufacturing services provided cover: design and reverse engineering; prototyping and rapid NPI; tooling and fixture designing, production and wax testing for both machining and investment casting; assembly and kitting; and Kanban, JIT and vendor managed inventory (VMI).
Alan Clark, Group Sales Director stated that: “This is our first time at Subcon 2015, which is the ideal UK exhibition to meet new customers and promote our extensively upgraded and expanded production facilities. We can now quote for a wider range of business, with the additional installed capacity ensuring that we can maintain our level of service to existing customers, while taking on additional long term strategic partnership contracts or short term subcontract orders together with our rapid NPI capacity”
PGT Ceewrite has proved itself a highly responsive new product development partner, able to meet very tight deadlines. Support is provided to OEM engineers and designers to rapidly produce accurate prototypes and new products using sophisticated 3D CAD/CAM systems, programmed with NX, Solidworks, Delcam Powermill, hyperMILL and EdgeCAM. The PGT engineering team can create surface models, 2D and 3D solid models in a variety of formats and high quality 2D drawings. PGT Ceewrite has successfully helped major OEMs looking to achieve rapid NPI (new product introduction) to develop and launch new products faster and more cost effectively to remain competitive.
Quality approval (QA) certifications and accreditations that PGT Ceewrite has been awarded include: BV AS 9100, ISO 9001: 2008, and NADCAP, AC7003. The Group also operates PPAP (Product Part Approval Process) and Advanced Product Quality Management (APQM), as part of its QA systems.
Already a member of ADS, the long established UK Aerospace, Defence, Security & Space Industries trade organization, PGT Ceewrite recently joined the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), which is a major trade association for independent UK companies and multinationals working in the engineering-based manufacturing sector.
New NADCAP approved EDM spark and wire erosion GF AgieCharmilles production machines with 24 hour ‘lights out’ capabilities have been installed in PGT Ceewrite Group, as part of a recent £15 million capital investment in new facilities and capacity.
