CNC Turning Capability

To remain at the forefront of technology, PGT Ceewrite has recently invested in our CNC Turning capability with a number of new pieces of machinery -

• The latest evolution of OKUMA’s 4-axis turning centre works alongside our Miyano turning centres, enabling us to dramatically improve the flexibility of our capability, which in turn has enabled us to return unrivalled lead times to our clients.
• The addition of a Tornos EvoDeco 32 Sliding head has also improved our capability for more autonomous machining. The Tornos incorporates a new spindle with a built-in synchronous motor. This technology is a first on a sliding headstock machine, with constant torque enabling more substantial turning operations to be performed.

With this capability we have across our business we can offer greater stability, accuracy, and flexibility when compared to our competitors. This flexibility is especially suited to our Motorsport Rapid turnaround division which offer the following services to the industry:

• Rapid turnaround of parts from 48 hours from receipt of requirement to guaranteed delivery
• CNC Turning offers cost effective prototype parts
• CNC Turning enables high precision surfaced components
• Manufacture of complex parts using a wide range of materials many held as stock lines
• Automation within cell allowing cost effective bigger batch work as required
